E-cigarette Warranty & Safety Information

Safe use of your e-cigarette is vital for a number of reasons. To help maximise the lifespan of your device, regular maintenance and correct storage/charging is important to keep it going as long as possible. Here we will go through our product warranty and safety information. Depending on what you purchased, some items will come with a different warranty length, which are detailed below.

Your Vape Warranty

Your warranty length can differ depending on the item purchased. Below you can review the vape warranty we offer for each type of product purchased on our website.

Batteries

Vape batteries come with a 6 month warranty from the date of receipt. The warranty is not valid against batteries that have failed due to misuse, wear and tear or incorrect storage. If you believe you have a faulty battery then please contact our customer service team with your order number for assistance.

Chargers

Battery chargers, including USB cables, plugs and electronic chargers are all covered by a 12 month warranty as standard. This warranty is not valid against items that have been damaged due to misuse. If you need assistance with your battery charger, please get in touch with our team.

E Liquids And Pods

These items are supplied sealed and ready to use. As such, these items are not covered by warranty, except in extenuating circumstances where we deem there has been a manufacturing fault or shipping error on our part. If you believe you have received a faulty pod or incorrect e-liquid, you must report this to us within 48 hours of receipt.

Disposable Vapes

Disposable vapes are consumable items that are sold sealed, prefilled and ready to use. They are covered by our 48 hour DOA (Dead On Arrival) warranty as a result. If you have received a disposable vape that does not work out of the packet, please contact our customer service team within 48 hours of receipt, quoting your order number for assistance. Please note that disposables lifespan can vary depending on usage, and this warranty does not cover any disposables that have been used.

Additional information such as batch numbers and photographic evidence may be required in certain claims.

Tanks And Clearomizers

Vape tanks, also known as Clearomizers, are covered by our 6 month standard warranty. This is not valid for tanks that have been dropped/damaged by the user or general wear and tear. If you have received a faulty tank/clearomizer, please contact our customer service team with your order number.

Drip Tips

Drip tips, or mouthpieces are sealed for hygiene reasons, and as such are covered by our 48 hour DOA (Dead On Arrival) warranty. If you have received a broken or faulty drip tip, please contact our customer service team with your order number to hand.

Vape Coils

Vape coils are delivered sealed and ready to use. Due to them being a consumable item, they are covered by our 48 hour DOA (Dead On Arrival Warranty). If you believe you have received a faulty vape coil, please contact our team within 48 hours of receipt with your order number to hand.

What Isn’t Covered?

There are some things that are not covered by our warranty. These exceptions include, but are not limited to:

  • Any failure due to negligence or product misuse
  • Failing to use the products according to the manufacturer instructions
  • Device casings that have been opened and/or any attempted repairs by the end user
  • Failure to follow proper charging instructions detailed in our battery safety information
  • Failure to report a faulty item within the specified timeframe (48 hours for any DOA warranty for example)
  • Failure due to normal wear and tear usage

It is important to note that vaping products can and do degrade naturally over time, and will require regular replacement parts to be purchased in order to maintain functionality.

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 take precedence over and above our warranty, and are unaffected by it.

Keeping Your Vape Safe

When using an e-cigarette or any vape related product, it is important that you use them correctly to keep you vaping safe. This will also maximise the amount of time you get from your device, resulting in fewer replacements. Follow our advice for keeping your vape safe, both when using and when storing away.

Batteries

When handling batteries, do not to store them with metallic, magnetized or electronic transmitting devices such as keys or mobile phones. Go to the dedicated Battery Safety Guide for further information relating specifically to the safe handling and storage of lithium ion batteries.

Charging your battery safely

Only charge your device or battery using methods and chargers recommended in the manual. Never leave a device or battery on charge unattended or overnight. Stop charging devices and batteries once they are fully charged. If a device or battery is damaged in any way, including dents, scrapes, or damaged terminals or torn insulation, do not continue to charge or use, and dispose of appropriately.

E-liquids

Store e-liquid in a cool dark area, do not expose to sunlight or high temperatures. E-liquid may discolour or darken over time, this is a natural process which does not affect the quality or safety.

• In case of accident with e-liquid, or if you feel unwell seek medical advice immediately, and take the e-liquid bottle and box with you for information.
• E-liquid is toxic if swallowed and in contact with skin, may cause sensitisation, wash immediately with plenty of water.
• In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
• Vapours may cause drowsiness or dizziness.
• E-liquid material and its container must be disposed of in a safe way. Use appropriate containment to avoid environmental contamination.
• Keep e-liquid out of the reach of children.
• E-liquid should not be used by any persons under the age of 18 years or anyone over 18 who has demonstrated sensitivity to nicotine. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, do not vape nicotine unless you would otherwise be smoking. If you have an unstable heart condition, seek medical advice before vaping nicotine. Remember there is a never a time when it is better to smoke than it is to vape.

Mechanical Mods

Mechanical, or ‘mech’ mods should only be used by experienced vapers. These devices work by drawing power through a direct connection to the battery, with either little to no regulation chips to manage the output. Due to this, only those with an understanding of Ohms law and battery power outputs should attempt to use a mechanical mod.

Disposables

These kits are easy to use right out of the box, however we advise that you always responsibly dispose of them once used. You can do this by visiting any Totally Wicked store, our own TECC shop in Accrington, or at any business with an authorised e-cigarette disposal method.

Auto Firing

As the name suggests, auto firing happens when the battery continues to supply power to the coil, even when the button is not pressed. This can be caused by e-liquid entering the battery through the button, or via the connection at the top of the battery.

In the event your device auto fires, immediately remove the tank or pod from the battery to break the connection between the coil and battery. If you are using an all in one device with auto draw, try blowing into the mouthpiece to release the auto switch inside.

Small Parts

Please be aware that vape kits and their associated components contain small parts that can be a choking hazard.
