Battery Safety

One of the safest ways to safely store 18650 batteries is with a case or sleeve. Never leave batteries in pockets or bags without a plastic or rubber cover as they can rattle around which can be very dangerous. When a battery comes into contact with metal it can result in it short-circuiting.

Make sure the batteries you use are from reputable vendors. At the Electronic Cigarette Company, we only stock 18650 and 21700 batteries from trust brands that go through extensive safety certifications. They may not be the cheapest on the market but there is a reason for that. It is crucial when using batteries when vaping that you put safety over cost value.

When charging up the batteries make sure they are not left unattended, especially overnight. Although it is unlikely it is still important to monitor any battery that is charging in case of an electrical failure. Plus, once they have fully charged remove them from the battery charger.

To prolong the life of the battery don’t over drain it. Recharge your batteries before they run out of power as lithium-ion batteries lose capacity if used till the point they run out of charge.
