The lifespan of a pod will differ depending on what type of cartridge it is. For example, an XLIM Series Pod is designed to last between 1-2 weeks, whereas a prefilled pod relies on usage. It makes refillable pods a more reliable and long-lasting option for vapers. To boost the lifespan of your refill pod, be sure to wipe residue from inside of the kit every other day to prevent condensation from building up.

Pods are designed to be leakproof for a seamless and mess free vaping experience. One of the most common reasons why your pod has leaked is that you have overfilled it. This can cause pressure to build in the tank, causing the liquid to escape from the pod. An easy fix is to remove the pod from the kit and clean its exterior and the inside of the vape. Proceed to gently blow through the mouthpiece a few times to remove any excess and reinsert to begin vaping.

A refillable pod can be topped up in many different ways and will vary from brand to brand. For example, the Aspire Gotek pods feature a side refill tab that can be accessed by removing the pod from the kit. Whereas the Vaporesso XROS Pods feature a top refill port that can be opened by removing the mouthpiece for easy access.

Vape juice can be inserted and removed from a pod via its filling port. To remove liquid, squeeze the air out of an e-liquid bottle and insert the tip into the pod and slowly release the air from the bottle. This should suck up the liquid and can be repeated until the tank is empty.

There are several signs that it's time to switch a pod for a fresh one. For example, the liquid will discolour, or you will begin to experience a burnt taste and faded flavour. As you begin to experience these issues, be sure to swap out your pod to avoid damage to your battery.

Before attempting to clean a pod, it’s important to note that you should only clean out tanks with removable coils.

To clean out a tank, first remove the pod and rinse it thoroughly with warm water. For stubborn stains, use a cotton bud to remove. Once completed, dry off the pod with a paper towel and let it air dry for a couple of hours. Insert a brand-new coil into the kit and fill with e-liquid. Allow the coil to prime for 5-10 minutes and inhale to begin vaping.

Your new pod might taste burnt for a few reasons. For example, you didn’t let the coil prime for 5-10 minutes after filling or you accidentally fired the dry pod on install. To fix the issue, let the coil prime for up to 10 minutes before inhaling into the mouthpiece. If this doesn't fix the issue, then swap out the pod for a fresh one.

The best e-liquids for pod vape kits typically are 50/50 nic salts, however this depends on what type of pod you have. If you have a kit that uses low resistance coils such as 0.4ohm, you will need a high VG liquid. Whereas if you are a MTL vaper, you will want something with a higher nicotine content, such as a nic salt or a bar salt. Thinner liquids are also a great choice as they wick through your coils easier, otherwise, you can get some dry hits, and no one wants them.
