What Types Of Vape Tank Mouthpieces Are There?

A mouthpiece can come in a variety of shapes, sizes and materials. Below you can find just some of the different types of vape tank mouthpieces available.

Plastic Mouthpiece

Plastic mouthpieces are probably the most common material type used by vapers. Many vape tanks come equipped with a plastic mouthpiece, especially when bought as a kit. Plastic offers a comfortable vape experience and doesn't get too hot while vaping, which makes it a popular choice with sub-ohm vapers.

Most RDA and RDTA tanks also come equipped with plastic mouthpieces. Again this is to prevent too much heat from being absorbed during use.

Metal Mouthpiece

Certain vape tanks come supplied with metal mouthpieces. These can typically be found on lower-powered devices, like MTL tanks, as there is less heat to absorb, preventing the metal from getting too hot. This option offers a sturdy and long-lasting alternative for vapers who want to maximise mouthpiece lifespan.

Resin Mouthpiece

Resin vape tank mouthpieces usually come in various colours, and just like the plastic options are usually supplied with higher powered tanks, RDA's and RTA's. Resin would not only be a great choice for sub-ohm vaping but is ideal for use with any tank.

Glass Mouthpiece

Glass mouthpieces are a good choice for vapers who want a more minimalistic design. Glass is also claimed by some vapers to help maintain a cleaner e-liquid flavour. Suitable for both sub-ohm or MTL vaping, glass mouthpieces are a good all-around option for various vape tanks.

What Vape Tank Mouthpiece Do I Need?

Choosing the right size mouthpiece is important. Below we detail the sizes available, and why it is crucial to check the size before making a purchase.

510 Mouthpiece

A vast majority of tanks use something called a 510 connection. This smaller mouthpiece is found on virtually all MTL vape tanks, including some sub-ohm tanks as well. It is the most common connection found in vaping, and there is a high chance that this is the mouthpiece you will need.

810 Mouthpiece

The 810 connection is relatively new compared to the 510. It is increasingly used in sub-ohm vape tanks, including RDA's and RDTA's. With a larger bore, the 810 mouthpieces are ideal for drawing in extra airflow while vaping, which is why it is most often paired with high-powered vape tanks.

Bespoke Mouthpiece

Some vape kits/tanks come with their own specific mouthpiece that cannot be replaced with a standard 510 or 810 connection. These types of mouthpieces are usually found with vape pod kits and e-pipes. These require the exact same mouthpiece to be purchased as a replacement and are not compatible with anything else.
