What Is A Nicotine Free Vape?

If there’s no nicotine, what’s in it?
It’s simply Propylene Glycol (PG), Vegetable Glycerine (VG) and flavourings. PG is what carries the flavour and VG is what creates the cloud. Some brands may also include sweeteners and colours.
Are nicotine free vapes better for you?
In a way, yes. While we’ll never claim that vaping is 100% safe, it’s still 95% safer than smoking. And with the removal of nicotine, it’s even safer in theory.
Can under 18s buy nicotine free vapes?
Nope. Even though there’s no nicotine in these vapes, they’re still e-cigarette related. This means that by law only people 18 or over can purchase them. In fact, most reputable retailers use ‘challenge 25’ guidance, meaning that anyone that looks younger than 25 will be asked for ID to prove that they are over 18.
Cutting out nicotine.
It can be quite difficult to cut out nicotine all together, especially if you vape higher strengths. The NCSCT recommend that you drop your liquid levels no sooner than every 2 weeks. This is because nicotine is a highly addictive substance that your brain gets used to. Once you begin to lower your strength it starts to crave the difference. That’s why it’s often better to drop slowly. If you’re struggling to drop a strength, consider mixing two in a 20ml bottle to bridge the gap. That’s what I did when dropping from 6mg to 3mg. By adding one of each you get a strength that’s in the middle, making the drop less severe.
What kinds of nicotine free vapes are there?
There are 3 main types of vape available in 0%. Let’s go through each of them and explain the main benefits to using each one.
Disposables – Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know what disposable devices are. But for those who are unfamiliar, they are single use e-cigs that are pre-filled and only last as long as it takes to vape the liquid. This means that there’s no filling them up, charging them or replacing the coil. They’re the ultimate go-to for convenience and portability. Also, they are well known for intense flavours and sweetness.
10ml e-liquids – This is the most common form of liquid. 10ml bottles are the largest that pre-mixed nicotine can be sold under the TRPR regulations. A lot of 10ml brands and ranges are also available in a range of strengths, which is great for vapers looking to work their way down to being nicotine free.
Shortfill – Shortfill e-liquid is available in 50ml or 100ml bottles. Usually this type of liquid is higher in VG, making it perfect for high powered devices but not suitable for lower powered kits.
