Trying out the new nicotine pouch from Elf Bar.
Elf Bar have brought out a brand new product that, surprisingly, isn’t vape related. Tacja is a range of nicotine pouches that allow users to kill their cravings without producing any smoke or clouds. I got to try half of the available flavours, so here’s my Elf Bar Tacja review.
Tacja
These pouches offer a discreet and enjoyable experience without the use of vapour, making them suitable for any situation. They are a convenient and long-lasting substitute for tobacco with a great taste that can be enjoyed anywhere. They’re 100% tobacco-free and are placed between the lip and gum to absorb nicotine into the body. There are various flavours and nicotine strengths to suit individual preferences.
Using nicotine pouches
Trying Tacja was the first time that I’ve ever used a nicotine pouch. But I had 4 different flavours available for my review, so I finally bit the bullet and gave them a go. The idea of nicotine pouches is great. They don’t make any vapour and subtly fit under your lip, meaning you can get your nicotine fix wherever you are. I planned to buy some for the next time I travel, so this was a great chance to try them out.
I chose to try the Blueberry Sour Raspberry one first. It’s great value for money that you get 20 per box. I inspected the container and found the handy compartment in the lid. This is to store used pouches if there isn’t a bin around. When I finally opened them, I realised that they were smaller than I expected.
I ‘parked’ the pouch under my upper lip and immediately felt a burning sensation. But, I know that this is normal, especially for new users. After about 5 minutes, this feeling went away. It’s recommended that you only keep a pouch in for 15 minutes when you’re not used to them, so that’s exactly what I did. The flavour was really nice, though nowhere near as strong as the ElfLiq liquid that I’m used to. Also, I didn’t find nicotine pouches as satisfying as my vape. But, I didn’t even think about picking up my vape for around an hour after use which means they did their job.
The strength that I was using was 12mg, which is the lowest, as I have 10mg juice in my vape. The three Tacja strengths are quite strong for nicotine pouches, with other brands such as Nordic Spirit having 3mg and 6mg as well.
Flavour review
4. Spearmint
I love spearmint in whatever form, so I thought this one would be my favourite. It was a really nice mint flavour, but it’s just a bit plain when compared to the fruitier ones.
3. Lemon Mango
I have to be honest. I didn’t really get much mango from this flavour. But the lemon was really nice and the taste is released slowly over the duration of use.
2. Blueberry Sour Raspberry
Disposable users will definitely recognise this flavour. As the first one I tried, the bar was set high. It’s a lot like the taste of other Elf Bar products, albeit not as intense.
1. Watermelon
Watermelon is my go to for trying every new product, so it had to be included in the ones I tried. This Tacja flavour is fantastic and perfectly blends fruit and menthol.
