Appearance

The iStick Power 2 takes the original design and elevates it to new levels. With a smooth metal body and soft material grip that wraps around it, the iStick Power 2 is a looker.
The screen has been given a big upgrade in the last 4 years, with a crisp, bright display. The updated UI looks good and browsing through the menu was quick and painless. The switch to using colour also does a surprising job of making everything ‘pop’ out a little more.
The 510 connection is sturdy, and moving down to the USB-C port everything looks incredibly well built. It is clear to see that Eleaf has made some consumer-friendly quality of life updates to this device.
The GTL Pod Tank design is similar to others on the market, particularly the VOOPOO DRAG X, with one exception. It has a unique airflow that is adjusted by simply rotating the pod, making it easier than ever to use.
The iStick Power is available in 5 colours, but I opted for the black model as this (in my opinion) had the most style points by far!
There’s no doubt about it, the iStick Power 2 is a beautifully designed product, and it knows it.
Performance

The GTL Pod Tank comes with a 0.8ohm and a 1.2ohm resistance coil. This is not going to push the iStick Power 2 to its limit, but I don’t think that’s Eleaf’s intention. I went with the 0.8ohm first because I love lower resistance coils.
Priming and fitting the coil is easy, and everything feels firm which is great. What I didn’t expect was the flavour to be so clean. The 0.8ohm coil isn’t meant to be a cloud chaser, but the MyVapors Blackcurrant I used had a beautifully layered flavour. I could pick out the juicy blackcurrant notes with a nice sweet exhale, it was impressive to say the least.
The 1.2ohm coil didn’t quite hit the mark for me, but I suspect it is because I was using 3mg liquid. Flavour-wise there was little difference, but I would suggest using a higher strength liquid or nic salts with this coil.
Now for the iStick Power 2 itself. The Avatar chipset really makes a difference here, with fast coil activation and SMART mode for newbies. When you adjust the wattage, even in smaller increments, it seemed to make a difference, allowing me to tweak the vape experience nicely.
I wanted to see what the device could really do at higher wattages, so I used one of my go-to Tanks. At 60W, the device did not miss a beat, and I was impressed with how smooth the overall user experience was. I am used to using the advanced chips found in other products, but the Avatar chip proved to be just as capable.
One of the best things about the Power 2 is the battery. It packs in a truly impressive 5000mAh capacity, and it easily lasted me a full day, with charge to spare. Using the device at a lower wattage with the GTL Pod Tank means you could possibly get up to 3 days before a recharge depending on your usage!
In short, The Eleaf iStick Power 2 performed brilliantly, and I loved the flavour, Avatar chip and using that beautiful colour screen.
Ease Of Use

Eleaf knows how to make a product that can cater to both new and existing vapers. I am happy to report that the iStick Power 2 is no different.
Getting set up is easy, and I found nothing that seemed intimidating when putting it all together. The GTL Pod Tank is a breeze to use and the innovative airflow is a joy to use.
The straightforward menu on the screen also makes it a cinch for new vapers to get to grips with. With a few clicks of the button you can choose the best modes to suit your own style.
For new vapers in particular there is a must-see feature called SMART mode. When in this mode, the iStick Power 2 will intelligently suggest the best wattage to pair with the installed coil resistance. This is sure to be a lifesaver for anyone who is not fully confident about which wattage to use.
No matter your experience level, the iStick Power 2 makes sure you feel in control. It doesn’t hold your hand, but it also doesn’t leave you out in the cold either, and I appreciate that.
Price
The iStick Power 2 clocks in at £54.99 RRP. Are there cheaper kits out there? Yes, do they function in a similar way? Yes, but none of that matters.
From the impressive high quality build to the intuitive UI and fantastic airflow adjustment, the iStick Power 2 feels like an expensive kit. £54.99 is not the most outrageous price either when you consider everything you get with this package. The 5000mAh battery alone makes this device worth every penny.

Target Audience
Virtually anyone. The iStick Power 2 has been made to cater towards new vapers and existing ones. As I mentioned before, it always makes you feel like you are in control, which is ideal for new vapers who are not going to know about wattage’s or coil resistance.
If you love MTL (mouth to lung) vaping, you’re going to love this kit, and if you only vape nic salts, you’ll also love it. New vapers who just want to break free from the chains of smoking are also sure to love its accessibility and easy to use features.
Similarly, vapers who use their own tanks will simply love the huge battery capacity, and can opt to buy the mod only to make use of existing tanks.
Regardless of who you are, the iStick Power 2 takes an ‘all for one and one for all’ approach.
Verdict
I like this kit…a lot. It manages to pack in all the quality of life upgrades I would have expected in 4 years, and is all the better for it. It’s easy to use, feels great to hold and that colour screen still impresses me as I look at it now. There is no doubt that the iStick Power 2 is the sequel fans deserve, and I’ve well and truly fallen under its spell. iStick Power, It’s good to have you back.
