Appearance
The Odan Mini looks great, but it would have looked even better if the funky crystal glass was available in 2ml for the UK market. As it stands we have a standard clear tube, which is probably better for viewing e-liquid levels anyway (i’m not bitter, honest).
I love the highly polished finish of the top and bottom pieces, which features a diamond-like indent. This diamond theme is even present through to the wicking holes inside, which is a nice touch if you’re a stickler for the details.
The ‘honeycomb’ mouthpiece is pretty standard fare, but still complements the overall look and feel of the Odan Mini.
In short, this is a great looking tank. It would have been nice to have the crystal glass as standard, but such is the post-TRPR world of the UK.
Performance

The most important aspect of any tank is surely its performance. Aspire has created some of the best known and loved tanks in the world, but how does the Odan Mini fare?
I used both the 0.2ohm mesh and 0.3ohm mesh coils for this review. The 0.2ohm was the first choice, as I’m more of a cloud chasing guy myself.
Using some Riot S:ALT in 5mg (a really tasty range by the way!), I cranked up the wattage to around 55W to give it a try. The coil performed admirably well, with large clouds of vapour and plenty of great flavour coming through.
The wicking was great too, and this seems to be aided by the addition of a new ‘hybrid’ cotton material used in the coils. This mix of organic and linen cotton allows the liquid to absorb more quickly, even when using higher VG (pretty neat!).
The same can be said for the 0.3ohm coil, which gave a very similar vape experience, albeit at a lower wattage. In fact, I didn’t really have any issues at all with either coil; Aspire seem to have nailed yet another sub tank!
I would say that the Odan coils are about on par with some of the Cleito mesh variants. If you like the Cleito tanks then you will most likely love the Odan Mini.
The airflow was just about right for the style of direct lung vaping I am used to. There is plenty of air being drawn in and I never thought it was too tight. Some people may want a little more air coming through but for me it was just about right.
Ease Of Use
The great thing about Aspire tanks is the usability factor, and it’s good to see this continues with the Odan Mini.
One of the worst things about certain tanks is the refilling system. The Odan Mini keeps things simple with a ‘lift and slide’ mechanism. This prevents the top from opening inside your pocket, but retains the convenience of top fill.
The system seems to work well, and I didn’t struggle to gain access to the tank, but I would advise against opening it with any e-liquid residue on your fingers, as the highly polished surface can become quite slippy!
The coils have also been made to make life easy, with a push fit system and no threading. This means that you simply remove the coil, push a new one in and away you go.
Another feature to enhance usability is the e-liquid inlet lock. When removing a coil, the central tube ‘locks’ into place, preventing loss of e-liquid when changing coils, even if the tank is full. This handy system made my life a lot easier, as I didn’t have to lose any liquid when the coil needed a change.
Whilst sub tanks are by no means suitable for every vaper, the Aspire Odan Mini goes out of its way to make itself accessible to anyone. If ease of use has been a reason why you’ve steered clear of sub-ohm tanks, then this should make you reconsider.
Price
When you consider everything this tank has to offer, £23.99 seems to be more than reasonable. From a sliding top fill to e-liquid inlet locks, the Odan Mini is well priced in my opinion.
The price might be a little out of budget for some, but does have features found on more expensive tanks.
Target Audience
Apart from MTL vapers, I struggle to see who wouldn’t find the Odan Mini appealing. It’s great for every day vaping and is entirely focused on providing an easy to use experience.
Obviously this tank isn’t going to look appealing to everyone, but it does offer a brilliant sub-ohm option. If you own a mod and want a dependable upgrade to an existing tank, the Odan Mini says hello.
Verdict
I like the Odan Mini…a lot. It might not bedazzle you with futuristic styling or offer a gimmick that you’ll love for about 5 minutes, but what it does offer is brilliant performance that’s solidly built.
It’s ease of use and helpful features like the e-liquid inlet lock really helped the tank to stand out. I also appreciated the lift and slide filling system which eliminates the risk of leakage.
The price point is more than reasonable when you consider just what the Odan Mini offers you as well.
So does Aspire manage to maintain its pedigree with the Odan Mini? The answer from me is absolutely! It’s affordable, looks great, performs even better, and If you don’t mind, i’m off to have a little vape on it right now!
