Appearance

Just like its predecessors, the arc GTi has a smooth metal body with shiny chromed top and bottom plates. This sleek body has been designed to fit in your hand comfortably, with no sharp edges.
The screen is clear and easy to read, plus the activation and wattage +/- buttons are nicely in keeping with the overall design. The USB-C port is neatly positioned near the bottom, meaning you can recharge with the unit stood up (winner!).
The GT Air tank sits proudly on top of the battery, with its polished finish perfectly complementing the top battery plate. Indeed the arc GTi looks very nice, without being too ‘in your face’ about it.
I appreciate the whole less is more approach with the GTi. It doesn’t dazzle you with uncomfortable futuristic designs, its simply made to look good and fit comfortably in your hand; what more could you ask for?
Performance
As with any vape kit, it’s essential that it performs well, otherwise you can find yourself with little more than a glorified paperweight. The arc range has always offered reliable performance across the years, but does the GTi continue this trend?
For starters, the 80W of power makes this the most powerful arc yet. Couple this with a 3000mAh battery, and you start to understand that this kit means business. The GT Air tank is best suited to lower wattage levels than what the device is capable of, but it does mean the GTi can be upgraded with a more powerful tank if you want.
Turning the device on is as easy as clicking the large activation button 5 times. Once I got the unit fired up, I set the 1.2ohm GT coil to 14W with some MyVapors Blackcurrant e-liquid (my personal favourite!) and gave it a try. The flavour production is very good, and managed to pick up the sweetness of my liquid without dulling that juicy blackcurrant I love.
The slide and lock top fill system is a great way to keep your vape liquid inside the tank; no more accidental tank openings for me! I also found the adjustable airflow to be ideal for the coils, with a great balance between open and restricted draw.
My only complaint with the GTi is that a majority of its power and modes cannot be used with the supplied tank. That being said, it does mean it can evolve with the vaper who uses it, without the need to buy a new kit.
The battery life is strong on the arc GTi, and lasted me around 8 hours before needing a recharge. The best thing? It can be recharged in just 1hr and 30 minutes!
Ease Of Use
The arc GTi retains the easy to use nature of the arc range, despite coming with extra modes. From the crisp OLED screen to the intuitive sliding top lock system on the tank, the GTi is a joy to use.
The battery itself is very user friendly, with easy to reach buttons and a conveniently placed USB-C charging port. Clicking the activation button 3 times quickly will bring up an easy to read menu where you can change between wattage and temperature modes quickly and efficiently.
Nothing seems to be forced, meaning that everything feels like it belongs, with no clunky menus or needless features added for the sake of it.
The GT Air tank also keeps things nice and easy, allowing you to crack on and vape without hassle. I love the locking top fill system and feel that more tanks should use this, as it stops the chance of leakage when inside a pocket or bag. The push fit coils allowed me to spend less time messing around, and more time enjoying the arc GTi.
Price
So lets take stock of what the arc GTi has to offer vapers. It’s got 80W of power, USB-C fast charging, a 3000mAh battery and the brilliant GT Air tank. The multiple vape modes also mean you can just upgrade the tank, not your mod if you decide to try something more powerful.
The £49.99 price tag offers great value for money in my opinion, especially when compared to similar kits like the Zelos 2 (£52.99 RRP). There really aren’t many kits that offer this much usability in a ‘future-proofed’ package.
Target Audience
The arc GTi is great for beginners and intermediate vapers. MTL (mouth to lung) vapers would definitely enjoy using this kit too, and it can even be used with nic salt vape liquids.
The versatility of the GTi means that any vaper can pick it up and enjoy a great vaping experience. Whilst the hardcore sub ohm vapers might find the tank lacking in the power department, the GTi mod itself can easily accommodate more powerful coils, including temperature control compatible Ni (nickel), Ti (titanium) and SS (stainless steel) options.
Verdict
The arc GTi is an impressive kit. Yes, it might not be a 200W cloud chasing monster that you see on various online videos, but it doesn’t have to be.
I love how easy to use the kit is, and the sleek, less is more design really helps this kit stand out. Amongst the other arcs, it reigns supreme in terms of power, without sacrificing anything that the range has become so popular for; reliability, accessibility and value.
The performance was top notch, and the high quality GT Air tank adds locking top fill to this winning mix.
Whether you’re an existing vaper looking for something new, or a beginner that’s after a vape kit that just ‘works’ then the arc GTi is here, and it says hello.
