Initial impressions of Aspire's first PockeX device in years!
In this article...

The Aspire PockeX Box is on the horizon, and I couldn’t be more excited! The original PockeX has seen huge success since it’s launch in 2016, and continues to go from strength to strength. Read on to find out my first impressions of this exciting new kit below!
A Sleek New Look

The PockeX Box has a very different design from the original. Ditching the pen style in favour of a sleek, stylish box mod, the PockeX Box is being bold, and I like it.
The exterior has a simple but tactile looking ‘dimpled’ pattern for grip, and the side mounted power button looks comfortable to use. A USB-C charging port is located at the front of the device, which is sure to recharge quickly and efficiently.
A recessed tank keeps the profile to a minimum and features a top airflow with easy view glass tube. The PockeX Box has a handy LED light to indicate the remaining battery life. Green = 60-100%, Blue = 30-60% and Red = 0-30%.
Top Notch Technology

The Aspire PockeX Box looks pretty on the outside, but what’s it like on the inside? This compact kit packs in a 2000mAh battery to last all day and houses the ASP chipset.
This chipset has multiple protection features to keep you vaping safely. Short circuit, vaping cut off, low voltage and overcharge protection are just some of the safety features built-in.
Power settings are not adjusted with the PockeX Box. A simple Bypass mode ensures the device will output between 18-23W depending on the battery charge. This is ideal for new vapers and removes the hassle of having to adjust settings.
New Tank, Same Great Coils

The Aspire PockeX Box overhauls many things, but the biggest could arguably be the tank. The PockeX Box tank is a new design that looks to simplify the original, all while improving it.
A sliding top fill replaces the screw top of the original PockeX, making refills quicker and easier than ever before. Top airflow also remains to adjust the incoming air to suit personal preference. With few complex parts, the PockeX Box tank appears to be a definite improvement.
As ever, the PockeX coils continue to shine. Available in 0.6ohm and 1.2ohm resistance options for MTL vaping. These coils have good-sized wicking areas and screw fit on to the tank for easy replacements.
This makes the Aspire PockeX Box ideal for new vapers looking for something to recreate the sensation of smoking. Existing vapers would also appreciate the chance to use nic salts and high strength nicotine e-liquid.
Final Thoughts
The Aspire PockeX Box is a big departure for the beloved series. It updates the design, adds a new tank and other quality of life features like USB-C charging and increased battery capacity.
For fans of the original, the Aspire PockeX Box is shaping up to be something special indeed. I have no doubt that Aspire will deliver a worthy successor to the PockeX AIO. It’s a sequel that has been 5 years in the making, but, finally, the wait is almost over.
