VOOPOO VINCI 3 Overview

The VOOPOO VINCI 3 is a compact yet powerful pod kit. The built in 1800mAh battery will last a full day of vaping and can output up to 50W. Unlike previous VINCI kits, the pod sits deeper into the battery to hold it firmly in place. There is still a large window to keep track of how much e-liquid is left inside the pod. Below this is the airflow which can be adjusted by sliding the dial. The icon above shows which way to slide to either increase or decrease the airflow. The clear screen on the side of the device displays the battery level, output wattage and other settings. Plus, the GENE AI chip provides 7 protections to keep you vaping safely.

This kit is compatible with VOOPOO PnP coils and comes with a TW30 & DW60 atomizers. The PnP-TW30 has a resistance of 0.3ohm which is designed for direct lung vaping. The ideal power setting is between 28-36W and it can be used with high VG or 50/50 e-liquid. The PnP-DW60 coil can be used for both direct lung and restricted DL vaping. It has a 0.6ohm resistance and performs best with 50/50 e-liquid. As the resistance is higher on this coil, the power settings should be lowered to under 28W. Both are push-fit and can be fitted easily into the base of the pod.

To fill the VINCI 3 pod, simply snap off the black mouthpiece to reveal the e-liquid inlet. Then push the nozzle through the rubber guard and add your liquid.

The VOOPOO VINCI 3 is an ideal upgrade for any vaper using a previous VINCI kit. Not only is the battery bigger, but it also has a higher output power. It can be used with a wide range of PnP coils making it more versatile than other devices on the market. The simple layout is easy for new vapers to get used to but is a step up from a basic pen style kit.

Appearance

The VINCI 3 has taken a step away from the square profile of the VINCI 2, instead opting for a more traditional pod mod shape. It still has a screen, airflow adjustment and a fire button. But, one new design feature is the pod. It's now sunken into the device, this creates a smaller profile which is definitely a bonus. There's also a viewing window on either side of the kit so you can see your liquid levels without removing the pod. It also retains its snap off top fill, which is very handy for filling on the go.

This kit is available in 5 great colours. Aurora Blue and Aurora Red feature a two-colour fade panel front and back. Carbon Fibre Black and Carbon Fibre Blue have a faux carbon look. And finally, the Rose Gold has a lovely baby pink panel that is patterned with geometric lines. All of the designs have a matte metal frame that compliments the chosen colour.

Performance

The VINCI 3 is a fantastic, small profile DL/RDL kit. The wattage control operates with the fire button and is adjustable with 3 clicks. Much like other VOOPOO devices, it caps the maximum power based on the coil that you're using. So, if you're using the 0.3ohm coil then it won't exceed 40W even though the device can go up to 50W.

The power button is very responsive and fires up as soon as you press it. We tested the kit with the 0.3ohm coil and it produces a satisfying amount of vapour. Although this kit wouldn't be suitable for users that prefer higher wattage, like around 100W, we found it to still be quite powerful at lower settings.

Since the VINCI 3 uses PnP coils, it's no surprise that the flavour and vapour production is fantastic. VOOPOO is well known for these atomisers and there's a wide variety of resistances to choose from.

The 1800mAh battery capacity is good, but might only last vapers a day if they're using the highest power settings. We found ourselves having to charge it overnight, but it did last a full day at 38W. This is a decent step up from previous VINCI devices though, apart from the X which used an 18650 battery.

Ease Of Use

This device is extremely easy to use, especially considering it's a DL kit. The push fit coils make changing on the go extremely easy. Filling the pod is also simple and the snap-off top is accessible without removing it. Also, the menu is straight forward and only offers wattage adjustment. Finally, the USB-C fast charge makes topping up your battery quick and easy.

Verdict

The VOOPOO VINCI 3 is a great little DL/RDL pod kit that not only looks fantastic, it vapes extremely smoothly. If you're looking for a mid-power DL kit that doesn't break the bank, then this is definitely one to consider. It's packed with features, but is still simple enough that even novice vapers will find it easy to use.
