The Vinci Pod has been a popular device with existing vapers and those making the switch from smoking. VooPoo has now decided to give it a face lift. Introducing the Royal Edition! This device doesn’t just offer a new look. There are some new features to make it an even better! Lets take a closer look and the VooPoo Vinci Pod Royal Edition.
Appearance
This device has a much more premium look and feel to the original. It keeps the same shape to is comfortable to carry and portable. However, it now has a carved pattern on the side. There a few different patterns available but the stand out is the gold kit. Most kits in this colour can look cheap and tacky but with this it adds to the regal design. Although most prefer a lighter device, the extra weight on this actually adds to the premium design as it feels like holding a solid piece of gold.
Performance
It is powered by an 800mAh battery which is great for the size of the device. The output ranges between 11-15W depending on the coil resistance. According to VooPoo it will last most vapers 24 hours before needing to recharge. There are also no buttons. Operating the device is easy, just inhale into the mouthpiece to activate the coil. There are 2 pods that come with the kit. Each has a built in coil with either a 0.8ohm and 1.2ohm resistance.
4 small lights at the base of the device provide a guide while using the kit. When green it means the kit is over 60% charged. Blue is between 20-60% and Red is below 20%. When charging this light will also signal the progress. So, when all 4 lights are on it is fully charged. The slider on the side of the device controls the airflow. Push upward to tighten the airflow or down for an open draw.
Ease Of Use
Like with most auto draw devices it is designed to be easy to use. No buttons or setting adjustments are needed. The device will output the ideal wattage for the pod in use. Plus, the coils are built into the pods meaning no messy coil changes. One of the new features this kit has to the original is a new pod. It now has a top fill system which allows for refills without removing the pod from the device. This makes it great for vaping on the go.
Price

Target Audience
The Vinci pod is ideal for new vapers. it is simple to use and offers great flavour for a starter kit. For the best performance stick to 50/50 or nic salt e-liquid. VooPoo claims that this device can handle up to 500 puffs before needing to recharge which is similar to a disposable kit. So those upgrading from a Geek Bar or Elf Bar should consider this kit. It is better value than using disposables and looks much better.
VooPoo Vinci Pod Verdict
The VooPoo Vinci Pod Royal Edition is something different. I love the design! It is probably the most expensive looking device I have reviewed. Even though it is a simple pod device it wouldn’t look out of place in a luxury designer store. The performance is ideal for MTL vapers and those looking to quit. Plus, the new pod makes it even easier to use.
