Check out the H45 Hero 2 from GeekVape!

We have been gifted with another addition to the Aegis series from GeekVape. Introducing the GeekVape Aegis Hero 2! As expected, this is an upgrade on the original. So, lets take a look at some of the new features on this kit and whether it lives up to the brands reputation. Plus, find out how to pick up this new device at an even better price.
Appearance
Although the Aegis series is made up of compact but powerful devices, the hero is one of the smallest in the range.
It stands at just under 122mm and is narrow enough to fit into a pocket. However, this is much taller than the original by 40mm. This extra length does make it slightly comfier to hold as the cushioned grip covers more room.
The screen has also been upgraded to a 0.96inch TFT Display. When navigating the menu, it is much easier to adjust the settings. Plus, there are more features at a glance.

Performance
This device has been fitted with a larger battery as well as USB-C fast charging. This means you won’t have to wait long for it to recharge.

The 1400mAh battery provides enough power for most vapers. However, if you are the type that vapes all day at a high wattage then you may need to plug in the charger when possible. It can also output up to 45W and comes with two coils in different resistances to operate between 15-35W. These fit to the base of the pod through a push fit connection.
50/50 e-liquid is the ideal choice to pair this kit with. The coils have fair wicking holes which will absorb it easily. Plus, The wattage range is suitable for both MTL and DL vapers.
Ease of Use
Thanks to the new display this kit is just as easy to operate and the M100 and S100 devices that released back in 2021. The screen shows all the important settings to keep the user informed. Plus, it can be easily navigated used the buttons below.
The top fill pod allows for simple refills without the need to remove it from the device. This is great for those who need to top up their tank on the go.

Target Audience
As mentioned, the Hero 2 is suitable for both mouth to lung and direct lung vapers.

The 0.4ohm coil works best between 25-35W and can be used with 50/50 and shortfill e-liquid for cloud chasing. Whereas, the 0.6ohm coil is more suited towards restricted DL or MTL vapers that prefer more vapour and the usual pen style kit. The power range is 15-25W and should be used with 50/50 e-liquid for the best performance.
GeekVape Aegis Hero 2 Verdict
Overall, the GeekVape Aegis Hero 2 is an impressive upgrade on the original. The flavour is still great. Although, the slight size increase may not be what fans of the original would like. It makes up for this with a larger battery and comfier grip. Plus, the recharged times are reduced thank to the USB-C port.
For those looking to upgrade from a starter kit I would recommend this as a good next step. Fans of the original may see this as something closer to and Aegis Solo in size and appearance. So, if you are looking to switch to something more powerful I would recommend the S100.
