GeekVape introduces the new and improved Aegis Legend!

The GeekVape L200 is the latest addition to the highly popular Aegis range. Also known as the Aegis Legend 2, fans of the original will be keen to see whether this kit lives up to the Aegis Legend and how GeekVape has attempted to improve on what is already a quality vape kit. Read on to find out more about this new release!
Appearance
From first appearances the GeekVape L200 clearly fits into the Aegis family. The overall look of the device indicates a strong and robust device before even testing the durability. The synthetic leather panel adds an elegant touch while also providing cushioning for a more comfortable in-hand feel.

Available in Silver, Grey, Black, Blue, Red, and Rainbow each colour option stays consistent across the kit with the same finish on the tank and the buttons. Even the synthetic leather padding on each kit differs, from a navy colour on the blue kit, to a more natural brown with the black kit.
As with the original, the Legend 2 is designed to be water, dust and shock resistant. However, with an improved IP68 rating this kit is even more durable than the previous.
Performance
Taking two 18650 batteries to power, the Aegis Legend 2 can output up to 200W of power. That is plenty of battery life to last a full day of vaping, even at the highest power settings. Once the batteries need run out, the addition of USB-C fast-charging means you’ll be back vaping in no time. Alternatively, vapers can swap out the 18650 batteries for fresh ones to carry on vaping immediately.

The kit uses GeekVape Z coils with a 0.2ohm coming fitted and a 0.25ohm as a spare. The 0.2ohm coil performs best between 70-80W and the 0.25ohm coil at 45-57W. Both coils are mesh which is easy to notice as the vapour production from both is very thick and produces large clouds. Airflow can be adjusted at the top of the tank, designed to make it more resistant to leakage.
To protect from accidentally firing when carried in a pocket or bag the Aegis Legend 2 features an A-lock. Simply swipe the switch down on the side of the device to lock, then swipe it up when you want to continue to vape.
Ease Of Use
A clear 1.08inch TFT screen displays all the need to know vape settings. Navigating the menu is easy using the two buttons below the screen to make adjustments. Vapers can also track the life of both batteries in the device with individual indicators. A simple but useful addition to identify when just one of the batteries needs charging up rather than needing to charge both.

The Z tank which comes with the L200 has a top fill system, allowing for easy e-liquid refills without the need to remove the tank from the device to top up with vape juice. The coils for this device are also push fit, so swapping them out is hassle free.
At the base of the GeekVape L200 mod is the door for both 18650 batteries to fit into the device. Simply slide the leaver and the door will spring open. As simple as this is, there are no concerns about the batteries falling out when on-the-go as the door stays in place even when dropped.
Price
The Price of the L200 is reasonable for the quality of the device. In comparison to similar kits such as the Eleaf iStick Power 2, the Legend 2 lines up about right. Costing just £52.28 on our website (compared to the original RRP price of £63.99) the L200 offers the quality you expect at that price range. This may not be in many vapers’ budgets but for the vapers this is designed for, they will be happy with the price.
Target Audience
The GeekVape L200 is a great choice for cloud chasers. The 0.2ohm and 0.25ohm coils pair perfectly with high VG e-liquid to provide thick clouds full of flavour. With the airflow adjusted to be more restricted the L200 will also suit RDL vapers when used with the 0.4ohm Z coil which is available separately.

If GeekVape release a wider range of Z coils with more resistances this kit would be a great choice for most vapers. Although, the mouthpiece is fairly large for MTL vaping so a better choice would be to swap out the tank with one that is better suited for mouth-to-lung vaping. A 510 connection on the Aegis Legend 2 makes is compatible with most vape tanks.
Verdict
GeekVape’s attempt to improve on what was already a hugely popular vape kit has paid off with the L200. This should be one of the first picks for sub-ohm vapers looking for a premium vape kit with stylish looks and a durable build. MTL vapers can still enjoy a more restricted vape with the Aegis Legend 2 by swapping out the Z tank for one of their choice.

I was really pleased with the performance of the Z coils, especially when using Urban Chase Blue Raspberry shortfill the flavour was consistent when switching between power settings and offered the perfect amount of vapour production.
