All e-cigarettes use coils in one way or another. They’ll either be removable or built into the device or tank. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Use the right wattage<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Like certain liquids can only be used with specific resistances, each coil has its own wattage range. If you have the power set too high or low, it will greatly impact the overall lifespan. In extreme cases, it’ll instantly burn out the coil. Luckily, most atomisers have the wattage range written on them. They can often be found on the base or side. Also, devices like the OXVA XLIM Pro have smart settings that automatically adjust the wattage to suit the current coil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Don’t vape like a smoker<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
To extend the lifespan of your coil, it’s best to avoid chain vaping, which involves taking multiple deep puffs in rapid succession. This puts pressure on the wick, making it difficult to handle the volume. Instead, take breaks between each puff to give the coil time to cool down and recover. Also, drawing too hard on the kit can cause leaking. If your want more vapour, turn up the wattage instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Priming<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
When it\u2019s time to replace the coil, it\u2019s recommended to saturate the wick of the new one. Starting at a lower wattage than usual and taking shorter hits also helps. Gradually increase the wattage and duration of the draw until you reach your usual settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Keep your tank topped up <\/h2>\n\n\n\n
If your liquid runs too low, the wicking material isn’t going to have anything to vaporise. This results in the cotton burning and is sometimes fatal to a coil. If it’s only slight, then it can sometimes recover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
