Ionisation detectors radiate the air around a plate. If this area is interrupted by a dense substance, such as smoke, then it will go off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just like heat detectors, these are less likely to be activate from vapour. Just don’t stand directly underneath them and you should be fine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can spot this kind of alarm in public buildings and offices. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Can You Vape On A Plane?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

While certainly against the rules, technically you can, and some people even do. But, we recommend against it. Smoke detectors on planes are extremely sensitive, for good reason. If the alarm goes off, it could result in rerouting and making an emergency landing, which can result in fines or even arrest. If you’re on a longer haul flight then consider a different type of nicotine replacement, such as sprays, gum or lozenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can You Vape In A Hotel Room?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Well it depends on the hotel. Some hotels, mainly chain ones, have strict no smoking or vaping policies. Others don’t actually specify a no vaping rule, but it’s always worth asking and following the wishes of the accommodation. If you do manage to set off a fire alarm then you could end up evacuating the building and wasting the valuable time of emergency services. You can also receive a costly fine for this as the hotel will assume you’re smoking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Again this is another sure-fire way to reduce the size of your vape cloud. Using smaller kits like pod devices<\/a> with a higher ohm coil will make less vapour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
