With so many disposables<\/a> on the market I think it’s time that we have another head to head. This time we’ll be comparing two of the lesser known brands: RELX Bar<\/a> vs Ghost Bar 800 by Vapes Bars. Both of these devices around 600 puffs and are only available in 2% nic salt. So, we’ll be looking at appearance, performance and price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Appearance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Ghost 800 is styled on the ever popular Elf Bar 600 Disposable. It looks pretty much identical, with a black mouthpiece & base and a coloured mid section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The RELX Bar is a longer, flatter kit that looks more like a traditional pod system. The top of the device is slightly see-through, allowing you to see how much liquid there’s left. On the base of the device is a blue strip that lights up when the device is in use. The only downside to the aesthetic of this kit is that it’s surrounded by a patterned sticker, rather than the design being printed onto the device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is based on pure personal bias, I must admit. Despite the paper wrap, I much prefer the shape of the RELX Bar. I also love the fact that you can see the liquid level and the light up bar at the bottom of the device. In a sea of devices that seem to copy each other, the RELX stands out from the crowd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner: The RELX Bar.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Performance. RELX Bar vs Ghost Bar 800.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This is a tough one. As I mentioned earlier they both have around 600 puffs and are only available in 2% nic salt. So, the only thing that I can really comment on is flavour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ghost 800 has solid flavour. Very similar to most disposables on the market. There are 18 varieties to choose from which include some very interesting combinations. Cinnamon Fireball Candy is an experience, sweet and spicy at the same time. Rainbow is another flavour that is a sweet, but fruity taste. Raspberry Grapefruit Orange is a unique combination that is delightfully citrusy. There is also classics such as Banana Ice, Pink Lemonade and Watermelon Ice. The problem I found with the Ghost is that sometimes the flavours were a little too intense and I could taste them for hours after use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The RELX Bar only has 10 flavours, but they’re all fruity and the perfect level of sweet. There are classic tastes such as Watermelon and Berry Ice, but there is also a fantastic selection not seen in other disposables. The Green Apple Kiwi is a personal favourite in this range and combines earthy green apple and tangy kiwi. The Banana Coconut is also a very interesting one and tastes like creamy banana. The flavours in the RELX bar are a little more muted than its rivals, but that isn’t a bad thing. They’re also a lot more accurate to the original fruit flavours, which is very nice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a slightly more subtle taste and a great choice of fruit in the range, by a hair the winner was…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner: RELX Bar.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Price<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The RELX Bar costs \u00a34.99 each, while the Ghost 800 costs \u00a34.49.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, both devices are available in a multi-buy offer. If you buy three of these disposables then it’s only \u00a312. That means you’re paying \u00a34 per bar. However, it gets better! If you buy five then you’re only paying \u00a319. That makes it \u00a33.80 per disposable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, with a slim price difference, the Ghost 800 wins this one. Since it’s \u00a30.50 cheaper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner: Vapes Bars Ghost 800<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

RELX Bar vs Ghost Bar 800 Final Verdict. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With so few differences between these two kits, this was a harder decision to reach. It’s only when you look at the minor differences like looks and flavour that you can make a distinction. Also, this choice was purely personal. After all, everyone has different opinions on looks and flavour preference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Personally, out of the two I much prefer the RELX bar. But I’m not a hardcore user of disposable vapes. I might have a couple in my bag in case my main vape dies or I’m going somewhere that my kit would be cumbersome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The RELX bar has a much flatter shape and feels more natural to me, as a 10 year vaper. I also love the fact that you can see the liquid, so you know how much you have left. Rather than just tooting until it burns or dies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don’t much like the paper wrap around the kit, but you can’t judge a book by its cover. The natural fruity flavours and unique features easily make up for the look of this disposable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
