VOOPOO<\/a> has released two brand new additions to the ARGUS range and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on them. The ARGUS XT and MT are a smaller version of the ARGUS GT 2. The XT takes a single 18650 or 21700 battery. With my love for the GT 2 I was eager to test the smaller versions of these kits, so let’s see what makes them special. Starting with the removable battery version: The VOOPOO ARGUS XT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The VOOPOO ARGUS XT looks exactly like the ARGUS GT 2, only smaller. It features a leatherette panel on the back of the device, for comfort. The main body of the mod is made up of matte metal and a strip of polished metal around the panel. In my opinion this mod looks stunning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sliding top charge port featured on the GT 2 has been replaced by a flip down door on the bottom face of the device. Also, the lock button is still a feature which means that you can pocket the device without completely turning it off. Also, the lock button on the XT is on the top of the mod and features 2 lock settings. Switching to the right locks the device’s wattage controls, meaning that it can still fire. Switching to the left locks the device completely.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The LED screen is bright and features different colours depending on what mode the device is in. The screen is where the first snag hit. The screen stays on, unlike other VOOPOO devices, which does impact the battery life slightly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The leatherette panel features an embossed logo, which is subtle. It doesn’t take away from the look of the device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VOOPOO ARGUS XT – Performance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

OK, here’s where we get to the nitty gritty. The device vapes amazingly. I’m used to the MAAT tank, as the ARGUS GT 2 is still my main device. The tank features a switch controlled air flow, anti-leak features and a screw-off top fill. The top fill also features a rubber seal that helps to prevent leaking. The TPP coils aren’t the best on the market for flavour, but they’re just as good as brands like SMOK or GeekVape. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The kit comes with 2 coils, the 0.15ohm coil and the 0.2ohm coil. I prefer the 0.2ohm coil as my preferred wattage is around 50. With the 0.15ohm coil at around 90 watts, this kit pumps out a very decent cloud. Also, with both coils the flavour is consistent throughout the life of the coil. My flavour of choice was Riot Squad Black Edition<\/a>, yum. The flavour is very present and stays steady from start to end of the draw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I used a 21700 battery at 4000mAh and the battery life of the kit was great. Easily enough to last me all day at 50 watts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ease of Use<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The VOOPOO XT is a very simple kit to use. It features the TPP push fit coils, which are very easy to change. The airflow adjustment is a satisfying switch at the bottom of the MAAT tank, which I find fun to play with. Also, the kit features USB-C fast charging, which makes topping up your battery in a pinch very easy. As with all removable batteries we recommend charging them externally with a battery charger<\/a>. The kit also features smart mode, which sets the wattage based on which coil you use. Although the coils have the wattage range on the side, it’s still a useful feature as it stops you accidentally running the wattage too high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The VOOPOO ARGUS XT is available for \u00a354.99.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The TPP coils are \u00a37.99 for a pack of 3. And, if anything happens to your tank, a replacement MAAT tank will cost \u00a319.99.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Target Audience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This kit is well and truly aimed at DL vapers. It’s a nice little kit that can still kick out a decent cloud, with a flavour to match. There are a range of 4 different resistance coils available, meaning that it’s great for any DL vaper. Also, the adjustable airflow means that it can be tailored to suit any vaper’s tastes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VOOPOO ARGUS XT – Final Verdict<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Wow. Just wow. The VOOPOO ARGUS XT is an amazing kit. It has all the function and features of the GT 2 and then some, but in a smaller package. The cloud this kit produces is pretty decent. Also, the functions and features are exactly what you need in a DL kit and the looks are just wonderful. I’ll definitely be keeping this kit around to use in conjunction with my GT 2.
