Want to learn how to vape? If you are new to vaping or looking for an easy way to quit smoking, you’re in the right place. In this guide we will go over the basics. Plus, we will give a step by step guide on how to use an e-cig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Kit Are You Using?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There are a couple of good choices for getting started. Either a disposable vape<\/a> or a starter kit<\/a>. Both are designed to be easy to use. However, if you are looking for something that will provide a better long term experience choose a starter kit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Disposable E-cig<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Disposables are a quick and easy fix but will cost more over time. They come in an all in one package. This means they need no maintenance or extras. Once empty just throw it away for a new one. To use simply inhale into the mouthpiece. This will activate the built in coil to create the vapour. Most disposable vapes use a 20mg nic salt which is very strong. You wont need to draw on it as much as a cigarette as the concentration of nicotine is much higher. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Starter Kit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you want control over the strength, vapour production and airflow a starter kit is the way to go. This allows you to customise the experience to suit personal preference. With this type of kit their are a few steps before you can use it. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Insert the coil<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Remove the tank or pod from the kit. Usually at the base there will be a slot to insert the coil. most have an easy push fit system. However, some may need you to screw it into place. Remember to check to side of the coil to see the wattage range. This will be useful for later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once the flavour starts to taste more burnt this is a sign to swap out the coil. Some kits come with the coil built into the tank. This makes it even easier to use. If that is the case once the coil needs replacing just swap out the pod for a new one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fill The Tank With E-liquid<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Before filling the tank make sure you are using the right liquid. To get started the best option is to go for a 50\/50 e liquid<\/a>. This is because it has a balance of PG and VG that can be used with almost any kit. It is also great for both MTL and DL vaping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are a variety of different filling systems so this all depends on the tank. Most starter kits have a filling port at the base of the tank. Check the user manual of your kit to work out exactly how to fill. Once you’ve figured this out insert the e-liquid holding the tank at an angle. this will stop it from overfilling.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Once filled allow 10-15 minutes for the the coil to prime. This is where the e liquid absorbs into the cotton. If you activate the kit before all of the cotton is soaked then it will burn the coil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set The Wattage<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Now its time to turn on the kit. This is usually done by clicking the power button 5 times. Setting the wattage differs depending on if the kit has a screen or not. Most pen style kits<\/a> have one button and no screen. They also have less power settings. To switch between settings click the power button free times. A light on the kit will indicate when the setting has changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A kit with a screen is easier to adjust while also allowing for options. Two buttons next to the screen allow the exact wattage to be changed. As previously mentioned, the range that is shown on the side of the coil is what it should be set to. Anything higher will burn the coil and lower will underpower the coil, producing little vapour.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

MTL and DL Vaping<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Now your kit is set up its time to find out what style of vaping you prefer. Most starter kits are designed for MTL vaping. This is because this technique is like how you would use a cigarette. To do this hold the vapour in your mouth before inhaling it into your lungs. This method uses coils with a high resistance that should be used below 20W. DL vaping is where you inhale the vapour directly for the kit into your lungs. To do this you need to use sub ohm coils<\/a> that need a higher power setting to produce big clouds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
