What is ELFLIQ and how does it compare to the Elf Bar disposables?
ELFLIQ e-liquid is a range of bar salt liquid made by popular disposable brand Elf Bar. This 10ml collection brings the fantastic flavours of the Elf Bar family to a much wider audience. In celebration of 9 more flavours being added, let’s take a closer look at ELFLIQ and see how it compares to its disposable brethren.
Introducing ELFLIQ E-Liquid
ELFLIQ is a bar salt, which means that it mimics the same strength, intensity and experience of single use devices. How does it replicate it so well? It’s the same liquid that is contained in Elf Bar 600 and Lost Mary devices. Not only does this allow more vapers to try the popular elements of disposables, but it provides far better value for money. Plus, it’s much more environmentally friendly.
This range contains 34 flavours chosen from the most popular Elf Bar devices. This includes Blueberry Sour Raspberry, Cotton Candy Ice, Kiwi Passion Fruit Guava, Mango and Cola. The strengths available are 2.0%, 1.0% and 0.5%, so these liquids are suitable for a wide range of vapers. The 2.0% is perfect for heavy smokers transitioning to vaping or existing users that normally use nic salts. It’s roughly the equivalent of smoking around 20-25 cigarettes a day. The 1.0% is a great choice for lighter smokers and vapers that prefer a lower strength. Comparing this one to cigarettes, it’s between 5-15 a day.
As this liquid is a variation of nic salts, it works best in lower strength MTL or RDL devices. Since it’s a 50/50 juice, pod kits work perfectly for this and we’ll give some examples of devices that work great with ELFLIQ a little later.
What Are The Differences Between ELFLIQ E-liquid and an Elf Bar Disposable?
In terms of taste and intensity of flavour, there isn’t. The real differences between ELFLIQ e-liquid and Elf Bar disposables is amount of flavour, ease of use and cost. With one 10ml bottle containing as much liquid as 5 single use devices, the cost difference is staggering. Let’s line them up side by side.
Elf Bar 600 | ELFLIQ used in EVIO C2 | |
Ease of use | Very Easy | Easy |
Flavours | 41 | 34 |
One off cost | – | £22.99 |
Price per bar/bottle | £4.99 | £3.99 |
Cost per week* | £34.99 | £7.98 |
Cost per year* | £1,822 | £292 |
Obviously, this doesn’t include the cost of coils for the C2. But, let’s assume that you get one bottle per coil. That’s £180 on coils for the year for the EVIO C2. Which brings the yearly cost of using ELFLIQ to around £472 per year. Now, that’s a considerable saving of £1,350 per year! That’s based one bottle per coil, but some users claim to get 3 or 4 through one before it burns. It all depends on your personal use. I don’t know about you, but I’d put up with coil changes and refilling to save that much money.
What Devices Can ELFLIQ Be Used With?
Due to the high flavour concentration, bar salts can reduce coil lifespan. So, here’s a list of the kits that we know pair well with ELFLIQ.
Joyetech EVIO C2
The EVIO C2 is a pod style device with an 800mAh battery and USB-C quick charge. This kit will definitely last most MTL vapers all day, and recharges quickly. The EN coils are push fit into the bottom of the pods, making coil changes quick and simple.
There are two ways to vape this kit. You can either press the fire button on the front to activate the device. Or, you can simply inhale on the mouthpiece and the auto-draw feature will activate. This is perfect for users used to disposables, as most are also auto-draw.
With a thin and tall profile, this device is pocketable and fits comfortably in your hand.
Joyetech WideWick
The Joyetech WideWick is a great little device that uses disposable pods, rather than coils. The major benefit to this is that you can have multiple flavours on the go at once, simply switch the pod to change between them.
With an auto-draw activation, this kit is very simple to use. The pod can also be filled easily by snapping off the mouthpiece cap.
Thanks to the patented WideWick technology, this kit experiences fewer dry hits and less spitting from a flooded coil.
The 800mAh battery is large enough to last most low power vapers all day.
OXVA XLIM SE
The OXVA XLIM SE features a slightly bigger battery than the other entries on this list at 900mAh. Much like the WideWick, this kit has disposable pods but these are filled on the side. It also features auto-draw activation, so is simple to use.
With a striking dual tone finish, this XLIM SE looks great and fits snugly into a pocket or bag. It’s also comfy to hold, thanks to it’s rounded edges and shape.
Aspire R1
The Aspire R1 is a unique entry on this list as it’s a refillable and rechargeable disposable device. This unfortunately means that it’s a little more costly than the other devices, but without any coils or pods to change it is by far the easiest to use on this list.
It has a 650mAh battery, which is easily enough battery to get through a tank’s worth. This is 2ml, which is the same as a single disposable. The tank is filled through a small rubber bung on the side of the kit.
You should be able to get around 2 bottles of liquid through the device before the coil burns. But some users claim to get up to 4, so it purely depends on use.
Now, you don’t have to use these kits. But bear in mind that your coils may not last as long as you are used to with freebase liquids or regular nic salts.
Who Should Use ELFLIQ E-Liquid?
ELFLIQ is a perfect choice for disposable users that are looking to save money and switch to an open tank device. With the same liquid and a phenomenal saving, it’s a no-brainer. They’re also fantastic for new vapers as they provide a high level of nicotine with little to no throat hit.
