A closer look at the ELFA pod system.
One of the biggest names in disposable vaping is without a doubt, Elf Bar. Whilst single use devices are more cost effective than combustible cigarettes, and 95% healthier, they are still quite expensive compared to other forms of vaping. But, Elf Bar actually make a disposable alternative. Let’s take a look at the ELFA pod kit and how it differs from traditional disposable vapes.
What Is An ELFA Pod Kit?
The ELFA is a rechargeable pod kit made by Elf Bar. It uses pre-filled pods that contain 2ml of the same liquid that is found in the Elf Bar 600. That means each pod has the same amount as one of these devices. The pods come in packs of 2 and cost £5.99, which is only slightly more than a single disposable.
The 500mAh battery is enough to get through one of these. So, once the pod is empty you simply need to replace it and give the device a quick charge and you have the equivalent of a brand new Elf Bar 600. Also, since you’re keeping and recharging the battery, it drastically reduces the environmental impact of disposable vaping.
The liquid that the pods contain is a 2.0% nic salt, meaning it’s incredibly smooth. This strength is roughly the equivalent of smoking 20-25 cigarettes a day. Also, the e-liquid has the same intense flavour that other disposables share.
The ELFA pod kit is available in 4 colours and has a choice of 18 different flavours. Whilst some of these are shared with the Elf Bar disposable ranges, some of the choices are unique to ELFA, such as Blueberry Cotton Candy and Raspberry Watermelon.
What Is Disposable Vaping?
In basic terms, it’s vaping with a single-use, disposable device. Popular brands include Elf Bar, Elux and SKE Crystal Bars.
Due to the simplicity and convenience, disposables are incredibly popular amongst vapers. They’re an ideal starting point for new users, as the cost is a lot cheaper than buying combustible cigarettes. Also, vaping is 95% healthier than smoking.
Disposables are also used by existing vapers as a no fuss alternative to conventional e-cigarettes. With no extra liquids to carry around or coils to change, they make a fantastic option for users of higher nicotine strengths. They’re also lightweight and portable, so vapers can use them when they don’t want to be carrying around their main device.
Disposable vapes do have their downsides, however. Whilst cheaper than smoking, using these devices is still the most costly way of vaping. Also, due to each unit containing a battery, they’re terrible for the environment if improperly disposed of. That’s where alternatives, like the ELFA pod kit, come in. The rechargeable battery and fact that you’re only disposing of a small plastic pods negate these drawbacks significantly.
What Are The Key Differences Between the ELFA Pod and a Regular Disposable?
There are quite a few differences between the ELFA pod kit and a regular disposable. To compare, I’ve chosen two of the most popular disposables on the market.

As you can see from the table above, the ELFA is much better for the environment, is just as easy to use and is much more cost effective. The only downside is the number of flavours available and the strength of the pods. But, with the ability to swap flavours without swapping device the ELFA is still a fantastic disposable alternative.
Who Is The ELFA Pod Kit Best Suited To?
The ELFA is the perfect choice for disposable vapers that are concerned with the price or environmental impact of single use vapes. This device is also an ideal option for new vapers wishing to make the switch from combustible cigarettes.
With an average saving of around £14 per week, this disposable alternative is much better value for money. Which is a huge benefit to all vapers.
