The moment a man takes to a pipe…
“The fact is, squire, the moment a man takes to a pipe, he becomes a philosopher. It’s the poor man’s friend; it calms the mind, soothes the temper, and makes a man patient under difficulties. It has made more good men, good husbands, kind masters, indulgent fathers, than any other blessed thing on this universal earth.”
-”Sam Slick, the clockmaker”
But what about e-pipes? Have you seen any recently, or perhaps you are an e-pipe smoker? Do you think they are a bit old fashioned and you wouldn’t be seen dead using one?
If you are the latter, I am going to urge you to have a rethink and look again. There are some stunning e-pipes in production; some of the mod pipes are beautifully hand -sculptured, yet e-pipes have had a mixed response from vapers ever since they came onto the market.
Pipes used to be all the rage 30 years ago, I certainly remember my Dad smoking a pipe. I’m pretty sure that if I ask you to think of pipe smoking you will think of some middle aged man, cardigan on, checked slippers snugly on his feet, puffing away in some 50’s advert. I love the smell of pipe tobacco, whether it is because it takes me back to my childhood, or I genuinely just like the smell, I‘m not sure.
The first generation of e-pipes was met with delight by pipe smokers, but there was trouble with the atomiser being in the bowl of the pipe, so when the atty died, it meant spending a small fortune replacing the whole bowl. E-pipes have come a long way in the past 3 years, and as a result they are growing quite a fan base.
But are e-pipes just for men? The quote above only refers to men and I don’t think I have ever seen a woman smoking a pipe –except for in an old black an white photo, taken somewhere obscure 100 years ago.
So when doing the research for these blogs I was delighted to see the new simple e-pipes, but also the beautiful – and I really mean beautiful hand carved pipes that have been modified, and well frankly I want one, and I am a woman and without being sexists, I don’t think pipes are a great look for a woman, but I don’t care as they are lovely pieces of e-cigarette hardware.
There are even pipes out there with tank fittings.
The next generation of e-pipes use cartomisers instead of separate atties and cartridge, it is now a matter of a new cartomiser, no more buying a new pipe bowl when the atty dies.
TECC now have e-pipes back in stock, these are the new generation of e-pipes where many of the glitches have been removed, so if you love pipe smoking give these a go.
Not into pipes? Admire the beauty anyway.
